WordPress 5.x Image Upload Failed Problem – Solution

Recently, after updating to WordPress 5.3, many of us have been facing an unusual problem. The problem is that we are unable to upload images using media menu or directly via post into WordPress. Although in this update WordPress has fixed many bugs, it enhanced many features.

When you are trying to upload an image, it gives an error showing that image upload is failed. The error somewhat looks like this –

  • If you are using some cache plugin like W3 total cache, wp-rocket or fast velocity minify, then flush or delete the old caches.
  • Clear your browser cache.
  • If you are using VPS then restart your server.
